The heart of Ashdon

Open Days and Events in 2026, A Season of Celebration!
The frost is melting, the snowdrops are peeking through, and spring is officially on its way to Ashdon! After a long winter, there is nothing quite like the sight of aconites and daffodils to remind us that our beautiful Windmill is ready for another fantastic season.
Your new Windmill team has been busy plotting and planning at the Rose and Crown, and we are thrilled to announce a calendar packed with themes, music, and community spirit.

Preserving Our Heritage
-
Our beloved Windmill is charging toward its 300th Anniversary in 2057, and we want to ensure it gets there in style! To keep the Mill, weatherproof and safe, we are launching a fresh push to fund essential repainting and maintenance. To cover our annual costs from insurance to keeping the sails turning we aim to raise £2,000 this year. The simplest (and most fun!) way to help is to show up! Your attendance at our events directly supports the Mill's future.
